1. Data controller

2. What data we collect

Data you give us: when you use the contact or newsletter form we collect your name, e-mail address, the message and — optionally — your phone number. When you submit a review, we store its content.

Data collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device and the pages you visit, via cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy). For anti-spam we store a hashed (irreversible) form of the IP for reviews.

3. Purposes and legal basis

Operating and securing the website — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Answering your enquiries — pre-contractual steps / consent (Art. 6(1)(b)/(a)).

Sending the newsletter, when you subscribe — consent (Art. 6(1)(a)); you can unsubscribe at any time.

Measuring traffic (Google Analytics) and showing relevant ads (Google AdSense, Meta Pixel) — only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), given through the cookie banner.

Preventing spam and abuse of reviews — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and analytics/advertising technologies. Non-essential cookies load only after you accept them in the banner. Details and the full list are in our Cookie Policy.

5. Recipients and international transfers

We share data, strictly for the purposes above, with service providers acting as processors or independent controllers: Supabase (database hosting), Hostinger (web hosting), Google (Analytics, AdSense), Meta (Pixel), Web3Forms (form delivery), and affiliate partners whose widgets you interact with (Stay22, GetYourGuide, Travelpayouts).

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep your data

Contact and newsletter data are kept until you ask us to delete them or withdraw consent. Review content is kept while it is published. Analytics data are retained according to the settings configured in Google Analytics.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing).

To exercise any of these, write to hello@litoral.online. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian supervisory authority, ANSPDCP (www.dataprotection.ro).

8. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, minimisation) to protect your data. No online transmission is ever 100% secure, but we work to keep the risk low.

9. Children

The site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data; if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
