Why you sleep nearby, not "at Nibiru"

Let's be honest from the start: Nibiru is a leisure destination — promenade, clubs, restaurants, attractions — not a classic hotel-packed resort. Lodging is arranged through partners and, in practice, most visitors sleep in the surrounding resorts and commute a few minutes to the gates.

That's actually good news: you can pick your base by budget and style, then enjoy Nibiru without paying for a room "right in the middle of the party."

Costinești — the closest and liveliest

Costinești is the neighbour to the north and the natural choice if you want to be as close as possible. It's already a well-known resort for young people, with terraces, a lively beach and friendly prices.

Who should stay here:

  • groups of friends who want buzz and long evenings;
  • those without a car, who prefer a short transfer;
  • mid-range budgets that want both comfort and fun.

Among the real stays in the area, it's worth looking at Vila Pacific, Vila Vacanța Costinești and Complex Poienița — all in the Costinești area, a few steps from the beach and a short distance from Nibiru.

Tuzla — quiet south of the resort

Tuzla is the neighbour to the south and the option for anyone who wants to sleep well after a long day. It's calmer, less noisy, with its famous lighthouse and more secluded beaches.

It suits:

  • couples and families with small children;
  • those who party at Nibiru but want quiet at bedtime;
  • lovers of a less crowded beach.

Eforie and the rest of the nearby coast

If Costinești and Tuzla are full, Eforie (North and South) is just a few kilometres away and offers a much wider range of hotels, from budget to 4-star, plus a seafront, a lido and the therapeutic Lake Techirghiol nearby.

Further south you have Olimp, Mangalia and Vama Veche, and to the north Constanța — all a reasonable drive away if you want more options or better prices at peak season.

Camping and budget stays

For young travellers and festivalgoers, Nibiru also offers camping options with tent packages through partners. It's the cheapest choice and the closest to the festival energy — but book early, because spots fill fast on big nights.

A few common-sense rules we share from experience:

  • book your accommodation before you buy festival tickets, not the other way around;
  • check the real distance and the night transport to the resort;
  • confirm prices directly with the owner — at peak season they change fast.

Bottom line

There's no single "right" option: Costinești for the buzz, Tuzla for the quiet, Eforie for variety, camping for a small budget. Compare the zones and real stays on the map below and pick the perfect base for your summer at Nibiru.
